The CLAT 2017 enables the candidate to seek admissions in National Law Universities (NLU).
Eligibility
Criteria For Undergraduate Programmes
The CLAT 2017 offers admissions to both national and NRI candidates
in undergraduate law programme in well-known National Law Universities.
The candidates must fulfill the CLAT Exam Eligibility criteria to
participate in the examination:
- Age
Limit- The candidate applying for the undergraduate programme must note
that there is no upper age limit mentioned for appearing in CLAT 2017.
Thus, this examination is open for candidates of any age.
- Educational
Criteria- The candidates must satisfy the following educational criteria
to appear for the examination:
- The
candidate must have passed 10+2 or any equivalent examination with
minimum 45% marks belonging to Unreserved/OBC/ (Specially
Abled Persons) Categories.
- The
minimum marks requirement for candidates belonging to SC/ST Category is 40% marks in 10+2or any equivalent
examination.
- Candidates
who are appearing in the qualifying examination in April/May 2017 are
also eligible for appearing in CLAT exam.
However, they shall be required to submit an evidence of their
successfully clearing the qualifying examination at the time of admission,
failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission.
Note: The candidates must convert their grades (if any) into percentage
for appearing in CLAT 2017.
Eligibility
Criteria For CLAT LLM Programmes
Below is a list of CLAT Exam Eligibilty for
LLM programmes.
- Age
Limit-
There is no upper age limit for the candidates appearing in CLAT
2017 to pursue post graduate programmes. Thus, candidates of all ages
are eligible to give the examination.
- Educational
Criteria- The
candidates must fulfill the following qualifications to appear for the
examination:
- The
applicant belonging to Unreserved/OBC/ (Specially Abled Persons) categories
must have cleared LL.B. or equivalent degree examination
with a minimum of 55% marks.
- The
applicants must have scored 50% marks in case they are belonging to SC/ST category.
- Candidates
who are appearing in the qualifying examination in March/April
2017 are also eligible for appearing in CLAT 2017
examination. However they shall be required to show a hard copy of the
proof of their passing the qualifying examination in the respective
National Law Universities at the time of admission.
- If
the candidate fails to submit the proof they shall lose their right to be
considered for admission.
